History

Started in 2016, the Goshen Education Foundation, a non-profit 501 (C) (3) organization was created to support the students, staff and administration of the Goshen Local School District.

Mission

The mission of the Goshen Education Foundation is to promote, enhance and supplement educational programs, including extracurricular activities, for the benefit of the students and faculty of the Goshen Local Schools District. We work with the Board of Education, staff, and other community agencies to help provide a great education. We support student’s and staff’s experience in the Goshen Local Schools in the following ways:

• Enhancing the academics and educational experience
• Student activities, student life, and enrichment activities
• Scholarships and financial assistance
• Technology, equipment, and facilities

  • Wife Nichole and two daughters who attend the Goshen Local Schools

  • Active with the Goshen Local Schools Business Advisory Committee and Facilities Committee

Deborah Gray: Vice President

  • Goshen High School alumni

  • Active in Youth Basketball

  • Husband Joe is Goshen High School alumni and has two daughters that attend Goshen Local Schools

  • University of Cincinnati alumni

Bob Haas: Secretary / Treasurer

  •  Resident of Goshen Township since 2013

  •  Wife Kim is a Goshen High School alumni and Kindergarten teacher at Marr/Cook Elementary, two children who attend Goshen High School

  • Owner of Haas Home Improvement

  • Active with the Goshen Board of Zoning Appeals and Goshen Bicentennial Committee

Lisa Burns

  • Goshen High School alumni, Class of 1998

  • Mother to 3 Goshen Students

  • 2nd grade teacher at Marr / Cook Elementary

  • Husband is a volunteer firefighter for the Goshen Township Fire Department

Melissa Paprocki– Board member

  • Resident of Goshen Township since 2000

  • Husband John, and three children who attend Goshen Local Schools

  • Active in the St. Columban Boy Scout Troop 55 as Executive Committee Secretary

Mary Butts– Board Member  

  • Goshen High School alumni, Class of 1969

  • Graduate of Miami University B.S and Wright State Mater of Education

  • Proud mother of two Goshen High School Alumni and Grandmother of two current Goshen students

  • Retired Goshen High School Biological Sciences Teacher

  • Active with the Goshen High School Alumni Association
